Set Workout Goals To Increase Your Chances Of Success

Most people enter fitness with no set goals. Sure they might want to gain strength or lose weight dieting and exercising but specific goals are not defined. This is the most common workout mistake. Before starting any exercise or weight loss program set specific goals for the week, the month, the quarter, and the year. If you are attempting to lose weight, start by measuring your body fat. Then determine what body fat % you want to reach. With an end point in mind you will more easily be able to design a fitness and diet program to reach your goal. Always check your progress periodically and keep records to ensure you are on track and never lose focus.

I like to put a list of goals where I can see it daily like my car and on my wall in my bedroom so I stay focused on what I want to achieve. This is perfect for all aspects of life, not just for fitness.
